Detailed Itinerary
Start from Fes and head south towards the Sahara Desert. Along the way, visit Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Morocco, and explore the beautiful Cedars forest. After lunch in Midelt, drive through the Ziz valley, taking in the panoramic views. Arrive at Merzouga Sahara in the afternoon, where you’ll switch to camels for a ride across the dunes to your desert camp. Enjoy the sunset, a traditional dinner, and spend the night under the stars.
Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the desert dunes, followed by breakfast in Merzouga. Today is dedicated to exploring the Merzouga region. Visit local nomads in their tents, explore Khamlia village to hear Gnaoua music, and see the Merzouga lake. After lunch in a local restaurant, take a stroll in the palm grove. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel.
After breakfast, leave the desert and visit Rissani town and an Erfoud fossil workshop. Drive through the dramatic Todra Gorges, stopping for lunch near the towering cliffs. Continue to the Dades Valley, where you can see unique rock formations and enjoy the scenic beauty of the valley. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel.
On the final day, visit the Rose Valley and Skoura palm groves. Explore Ouarzazate, known for its film studios, and the iconic Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Drive through the majestic High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi-n-Tichka pass with stops for lunch and photos. Your tour concludes with a drop-off at the airport or your accommodation in Marrakech.
