Tour Overview

During this 5-day journey in Morocco, you’ll experience incredible sights and adventures. Starting in Tangier, we’ll take you to some of the most breathtaking places in the country. First, we’ll visit Cape Spartel and Hercules Cave. Then, we’ll cross the Rif mountains and explore the charming blue city of Chefchaouen. You’ll also have the chance to wander through the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. Our tour includes sightseeing in Meknes, as well as a visit to the picturesque Switzerland of Morocco, Ifrane, and the Cedars forest. You’ll even have the opportunity to ride camels and witness the magical sunset and sunrise in the Sahara desert of Merzouga. We’ll take walks through the stunning Todra and Dades gorges and visit historical Kasbahs. Finally, we’ll cross the majestic High Atlas mountains and the Tizi-n-Tichka pass before concluding our journey in Marrakech.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Tangier to Chefchaouen 120 KM

Begin your journey with a pick-up from your accommodation, the airport, or the port in Tangier. Explore Tangier’s beauty, including the Cave of Hercules and Cape Spartel. Enjoy lunch and then drive to Chefchaouen through Tetouan and the Rif mountains. Overnight stay in a hotel in Chefchaouen.

Day 2: Chefchaouen to Fes via Volubilis and Meknes 260 KM

After breakfast, wander through the charming streets of Chefchaouen. Visit the well-preserved Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities, including Bab Al-Mansour and the Royal stables. Head to Fes and spend the night in a riad.

Day 3: Fes to Merzouga Sahara via Ifrane and Cedars Forest 470 KM

Drive south to Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Morocco, and visit the cedar forest. Encounter Barbary macaques and enjoy a scenic drive through the Ziz Valley. Reach Merzouga Sahara and embark on a camel ride to a desert camp. Experience Berber music and a campfire under the starry sky.

Day 4: Merzouga Sahara to Dades Valley via Rissani and Todra Gorges 270 KM

Wake up early to witness the stunning sunrise over the Sahara desert. Visit Rissani, an ancient trading center, and explore a fossil workshop in Erfoud. Drive to Todra Gorges, ideal for rock climbing and scenic walks. Continue to Dades Valley, admiring the unique rock formations. Overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 5: Dades Valley to Marrakech via Ouarzazate and Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah 320 KM

Depart for Marrakech, stopping at the Rose Valley and Skoura palm groves. Visit the studios in Ouarzazate and the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO site. Explore the Telouet Kasbah before crossing the High Atlas Mountains. Drop-off at your Riad accommodation in Marrakech.
